Founded in 1986, VITAC is the largest provider of closed captioning services in the United States, providing real time captioning for both live TV and prerecorded programs. Their customers include every major network, many cable providers, producers and corporations. The Company ensures that its services help their customers meet all FCC compliance requirements.
Situation
The Company’s existing equity owner, The Gores Group, identified Caption Colorado as an attractive add-on acquisition for VITAC, and decided to upsize its current debt facility in connection with that tuck-in transaction.
Solution
Crystal participated in a Senior Credit Facility agented by Abacus Finance, LLC to fund the acquisition.
